How To Install Windows 8.1 to In FlashDisk / External Hard Disk

Ever imagined had an OS Windows 7 or Windows 8 / 8.1 that can be run directly on the USB stick? if you ever imagined that, this time I will give you the tutorial easy way to install Windows 7 or Windows 8 / 8.1 USB stick. This is not the way to create a bootable USB stick Windows tablets, but this way we will actually install the OS Windows 7 / 8.1 into a FlashDisk which we can then carry it everywhere!

The following materials are needed:

- A FlashDisk size 16 GB or 32 GB or an External Hard Drive (Highly recommended already USB 3.0 not 2.0, so that faster data transfer).
- ISO file of Windows 7 (Download Here) / Windows 8 (Download Here)
- Software WinToUSB (Download Here).

If you've prepared, you please refer to the tutorial below

1. Install the application WinToUSB, after that run WinToUSB as Administrator (Right Click -> Run As Administrator).

2. After that, navigate to the ISO file of Windows 7/8 you guys want to install into flash you by clicking Browse. If so, click Next.

3. The third step, show your USB stick to be installed Windows, FlashDisk chosen must be formatted in advance, therefore, select Yes,

4. Next will display a warning like this, you will be asked to choose whether the form MBR or GPT. (Choose only MBR) and click OK.



5. You will be told to choose which one will be the boot partition and the system partition.

- Boot partition is a partition that contains various files needed Windows, usually this partition contains the Program Files folder, Windows, Program Data, and others.

- System partition / is a partition that contains various kinds of files such as Ntldr, Boot.ini, Ntdetect.com, bootmgr. If this partition does not exist, then you will not be able to get into Windows (read more here)

5. Wait for the installation to finish, and it took a few minutes depending on the size of the ISO file.

6. Done! you've managed to change the USB stick you into a Windows "runs" that can be run dikomputer anywhere. In order to run it through the flash only need to change the boot sequence / rank boot in BIOS your PC and place the USB stick you be the first boot or boot the earliest.

Note:

- If you are striking the first time you FD USB to PC, then it will take a long time, it is normal, Windows will configure the drivers and so forth with your PC (like when you first reinstall). This will continue to occur if you run Windows Portable is in the computer / PC different.

- USB stick has a data transfer rate that is slower than the current External Hard Drive supports USB 3.0.

- To install the driver, the driver can use the software updater like DriverPack, SamDrivers, IObit Driver Booster, SlimDriver and the like.

- Can be used for Windows Server as well. But other records is, Windows 7 / Server not really portable. Sometimes you will have a problem in the activation process and also the driver.

- Special for Windows 7 and Windows Server, only support for USB 2.0 instead of 3.0.
